A Toast to Four Loko

PR Connection #13 – COMM 4333 and 2322

A secular college student’s dream, alcohol and energy mixed together, otherwise known as a four loko. While fitting in their limited budget, of course. Done! Manufactures knew the demand of both elements so they decided to combine them and sell them for under $3 a pop. This fantasy was very short lived after 2 cases of death caused many to notice the new product being sold, and not approve of its potential. Never has a product been sold in the gas stations and markets of America that combines an upper and a downer. The harmful effects this causes a human heart are sometimes irreversible. As much success as these four loko’s have experienced, it is wonderful that someone insisted these are unsafe and decided to not back down

An alcohol and caffeine combination, how crazy can people get. Honestly I don’t think people are 100% aware of the effects alcohol and caffeine have on their bodies separately not to mention combined! So two people died from it? Part of me wonders how much alcohol these people consumed all together. People suffer from alcohol poisoning all the time (outside of Four Loko). Is the product officially off the shelf?

3 cases of death in the United States and I would like to know the same thing. It is sad that people would enjoy these or want to put there body through so much by consuming them. This carbinated soda is not officially off the shelves because they are still in the early stages of this issue. They have started to ban it state by state.
