Egyptian Public Relations

According to Chapter 2 in Public Relations: Strategies and Tactics, they say that there were many different uses for public relations in the times of the rosetta stone. That action was a PR stunt in theory because it was coming against the Pharaoh (Egyptian ruler) at that time.

The Olympic games also had public relations intertwined because they would advertise the games for all to come a participate.

Clerks took records of everything that happened in the city, then they would post these “Acta Diurna” or “daily doings” all over town.

These papers were the very first newspapers.
